Darkus, Keys and Double-M are three West London rappers who go by the name “ARMS LENGTH”.

We All linked up in college in 1996, but we did not actually start rhyming until 1999. It all basically started from us just freestyling over beats in yards & next mans cars. We also all worked together so we all around each other a lot listening to tune’s rapping constantly & just chilling. We were all very much into that Queensbridge sound, the likes of Nas, CNN, Khadafi, Mobb Deep etc, which has played a major part in all of our styles today.

After freestyling for a while, we got a little bit more serious and decide to put pen to pad. After about a year of us writing a few 16’s, we thought we’d form the group called “Rompceaser”. Rompceaser meaning “The Play-Takers” and this is where it all kicked off. This is how we linked up with Beezwax beats that gave us that fine European touch. We did a few shows and got a little airplay.

We then decided to break up & concentrate more on solo stuff but still linking up and featuring on each other’s tracks. Then in 2003 we linked up with Kemet London & re-united forming the group “ARMS LENGTH”, this basically describes our personalities & how we plan to hold this hip-hop game. Our aim is to take hip-hop in the UK to another level & raise the bar. Apart from QB we have also listened to a lot of Biggie & French hip-hop has also been a major influence. As far as UK hip-hop we do not necessarily have any influences but we do definitely have massive respect and feel the likes of Rodney P, 12 Stone, Scorzazee, Big P and Klashnekoff. We are bringing it from street straight back to street, so prepare for the Arms.
